Candice Westberg has been creating
art in one form or another since she was a very small person and could drag a crayon across a piece of paper. In kindergarten
when asked by her mother how her day at school had gone she replied with, "I'm still the best in art!" After
high school she moved to Texas for five years where she learned about painting and learned the art of making wire-wrapped
jewelry.
Following her time in Texas Candice moved to Las Vegas where
she accepted a position with a local business to learn to draw glamour-style caricatures. She worked with them in some
of the most prestigious casinos. However, after two and a half years she was ready to head back home.
Nearly eight years from leaving home after High school Candice found herself back in the beautiful
northwest. Once here she set caricatures aside for a time but picked up the skill of multiple balloon twisting. She also began
sculpting again and it is during this time that her jester sticks were born.
Today
Candice lives and works in Eugene, Oregon where she has passed on her skill of twisting amazing creations out of balloons
to her partner Anthony Ambrose. Little did he know that he would be leading this life when he first met Candice when they
were in eighth grade together. He was fourteen and she was thirteen.
Anthony
works by Candice's side at the local Saturday Market where she once again is offering glamour-style caricatures. They
hope that one day their son Vincent, born in August 2007, will continue on in the family business.
